Big breaking news out of the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con where James Cameron revealed that Edward Furlong will be returning as John Connor in Paramount’s forthcoming Terminator: Dark Fate, which he produced and Deadpool‘s Tim Miller directs. So it looks like James Cameron is putting out all the stops to make this a Terminator to remember.
John Connor was a huge part of the first Terminator in that, from the future, he sent Kyle Reese back in time to save Sarah Connor, his mother, from a Terminator programmed to kill her and prevent his birth. His character was introduced in Judgment Day, who would team with his mother to stop Skynet and they were supposed to stop this robot uprising for good. Apparently, something did not go right and all went wrong in this new future.
Terminator: Dark Fate opens November 1st.
